Experiential Learning Design Master Class for Clinical Educators

Saturday 5th July 2025, Sheffield

This course is intended for those with a background in clinical education and covers theoretical and practical elements of experiential learning. Using a practical approach the course aims to take practitioners beyond Kolb's model and presents a new more holistic model of experiential learning. 

The course is based on work which led to the publication of two books:

• Experiential Learning Design; Routledge 2023 (Professor Colin Beard : Professor of Experiential Learning Sheffield Hallam University)
• How Doctors Think and Learn: Springer 2020 (Professor Derek Burke: formerly Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine and Medical Director Sheffield Children's NHS FT)
