BMFMS funded bursaries 2024-25 round
For the 2024-25 round of Bursaries, BMFMS are pleased to announce a research bursaries to a maximum value of £10,000. Any project proposals in relation to any area of maternal or fetal medicine will be considered. Applications will be marked by the BMFMS Committee and an external reviewer.
Applicants must have been members of the BMFMS for at least 6 months prior to the application closing date. The successful applicant(s) will be expected to:
- Acknowledge BMFMS when presenting their work,
- Submit an interim report at 1/2 years and a final report at 2/3 years, as appropriate
- Present the findings arisen from the bursary at the annual BMFMS meeting(s)
The BMFMS aims to provide a forum where issues of relevance to Obstetricians and other professionals involved in maternity care are discussed. In particular, the Society seeks to
- Disseminate knowledge
- Promote research and audit
- Establish good quality training programmes
- Encourage development of clinical guidelines.
The ultimate goal is to encourage improved standards of maternity care.
Applications will be received from 1st July to 1st December 2024. Applicants will be informed of the results in March 2025.
