Draft BAPM Framework: Peri operative care of extremely premature babies

BAPM has  published the draft BAPM Framework for Practice: Peri operative care of extremely premature babies.

BAPM welcomes comments on this draft document before a final version is published later in the year.

This draft framework offers a high-level approach to perioperative care of an extremely premature newborn baby for all neonatal staff groups.

This is intended as a framework to assist care providers who deliver care to babies at <28 weeks gestation around the time of an operation. They leave the specific implementation of the recommendations to the care provider to adopt and deliver.

Deadline for comments: 24 June.
