Dissertation exploring the opinions of maternal health practitioners on the state of patient safety for birthing parents in England

30 November 2023

Sara Mehdi, a final year undergraduate student at King’s College London, studying Global Health and Social Medicine, is currently working on her dissertation which explores the opinions of maternal health practitioners on the state of patient safety for birthing parents in England.

She is  looking for any maternal healthcare professionals that work with pregnant people during any of the following stages: pregnancy, labour, birth, and 42 days post-partum.

Participants will be asked to take part in a virtual interview that will last around thirty minutes. During the interview, participants will be asked about their opinions surrounding maternal patient safety in England, potential causes of inadequate patient safety, and how patient safety can be improved if required. All participants will remain anonymous in the write-up of the dissertation.
